I really can't stop looking at my videos and pics from Jamaica

Had a powerful moment recently w/ artist Gary Tyler hearing his story & meanings behind his quilts.

Gary was wrongfully convicted of murder in Louisiana at age 16, sentenced to Death Row & remained in prison for 42years.

His quilts include self-portraits, frustration when his pardon was first rejected, addt’l snapshots from prison & other stories he wanted to share.

Gary Tyler was finally released in 2016 at age 57. I was so sad and ANGRY but Gary was so calm and peaceful. “Don’t be sad, this is a celebration!” He said. “I understand it now. It humbled me but they couldn’t break me”

I’m gonna miss this murder mystery gig when I go on tour. 😭

If you want to watch original and new stories go to the theater and support. We had plenty in theaters last year like Little Brother, Polite Society, Bottoms, Anatomy of a Fall, Rhye Lane.

I didn't think I'd get too much out of learning the academic structure of music appreciation. However, it affirms the connection between music composition and the human psyche…

Ultimately, if you're worried about the declining birthrate, sexuality has no play in it. It's the state of life we currently live in. People that have their needs met will be more likely to have kids. But rn we're too tired, barely scraping by 3/?

Yup. Damn near everything about working 3rd shift is set up to be a major drain on your body especially if you allow it to be. Not to mention this world is just not tailored for a night worker. So there's construction and lawn mowing happening when you're trying to sleep. And appointments will usually be set up for the am. It's just not really healthy long term for most. Now of course, some people love that ish tho

I worked 3rd shift for years. And unless you make an active effort to get outside and feel the sunlight you can literally go weeks without just that free feeling you speak of. I completely understand. Sleep during the day, then up all night, and when you get off the sun is just coming out but you on the way home. And I felt my spirit getting worn down after a while. I started just waking up and walking places. And literally everything started to feel better and less draining. Cause I actually had something to give again.

Oh man I know that feeling!!!! I remember the first time leaving the office of my new job with the sun still out. I just took a deep breath and was SMILING! I felt so free! Before that, I didn’t realize the toll it was taking on my mental health.
