Fasho. Cole is an amazing shadow boxer. His hands and form look dangerous when he just swinging at nothing. But when its time for war I'm not calling J Cole. He not battle tested nor do I feel like he wanna give up his good guy image enough to really bomb on mfs. I've never wanted to hear a diss track from J Cole.

Fuck that 7 Minute Drill, you gotta listen to Pi for the real bars.

Hello cousins,

I haven't been on much lately due to conflicts in where I want to take Blkem. It has been really a challenging process and still continues to be. After 4 years and finally launching a Safety App for the community, there's the behind the scenes issues that you do not see, especially when you're supposed to be in a partnership with other Black-Owned entities. It seems like BOEs rather take the glory than share the glory to help the masses. I ain't cut out that way!

I am a huge advocate for collaboration, HONEST work, and helping people and communities in need. Once people move the goalpost, I tend to distance myself because I don't want my noble ethics be tainted with immoral constructs that involves greed.

While I pride myself in launching such a platform for the community, the support is not there and that burden becomes heavier and heavier each year. From what I have seen since launch, Black Empowerment is only exciting as long as it's beneficial and if there's work that needs to be done, many people walk away without even trying. As a really really good friend told me a month ago.."I spent over 4 years trying to do my part in saving the Black community, now it is time to save yourself and then circle back".

The conflict that I have been dealing with is staying the course, or switching direction that ultimately leads me back to Black Empowerment focused strategies.

I am not saying that this is the end all for Blkem...i'm just saying that I have to refocus my prioritizes before dialing back.

Hope you all understand!

*** On other notes, I have one fun project (a Blkem bae inspired project) that I am working on NOT connected to Blkem and possibly starting another that will be connected to Blkem, in a way.

Best part about spotify radio does a great job introducing new music to you. 🎯

Oh most definitely !! I can see that being one of the reasons behind the project to give artists more to work with instead of some of the same recycled material

Put that music out bro

#RandomThough I’ve been producing for so many artists overseas, I may have to release some compilation EPs. Show chase my body of work with artists outside of the US… 🤔

This lowkey is a dope idea… Gonna have to write this down & make happen #YupYup

Oh that’s cool. Can’t wait to hear the finished products!

In case y'all haven't discovered it yet, YouTube has a channel with free (legal) movies

I’m know this is random but can we get music on our pages like the MySpace era? That was a top tier social media feature imho

Which ones did you get? I also got mine from there and my room be dark af 😂

Bought some “Blacked Out” curtains from #Walmart for the studio and that was a mistake. 🤣 These curtains are definitely NOT blacked out. I’m gonna have to hit up #amazon . I know y’all got me! #YupYup

Amapiano and Afrobeats gaining the traction and attention it is now is amazing! I remember 10yrs ago visiting the states and hearing afrobeats at certain afro led events, only!

Thats when you take a step back, go put your mind on something else and then come back to it with a fresh perspective. A lot of the time you’ll find the answer right in front of you. Works like a charm.

I also went through this, but was basically forced to go through with it from 1st grade until 11th grade.

I tried taking piano lessons as a kid & hated it. After 2 lessons told my Moms I didn't want to go back. It was boring & unengaging for me. Once I started teaching I already knew to meet them where they're at. That's the true way to teach! #YupYup

That's wassup. And I guarantee they love learning with you because you met them where they are. Learning an instrument and even playing while experienced can be a very frustrating and grueling process. You have to love what you're playing

If you want to teach kids an instrument you have to make sure to incorporate some of the music they enjoy hearing too. That old school strict classical music only mindset is not as sustainable as adding some fun in the mix for them

I really like psychology! It’s so much easier to understand and accept others when you see why people do things.

On the flipside, I can see how vulnerable and uncomfortable it is for someone to read & observe you clearly. Can feel exposed.
