Yes!! When Black men were getting buck broken during slavery, our women were the ones to stand behind us. When black men were getting destroyed by white slave owners, our women were the ones that tend to our wounds. There's much more that took place against Black men and our women stood up for us. Now, they're the most disrespected group of women in society. Now we have to do our part collectively, to protect them. We are quick to uplift other races of women and not our own. Imagine if our women did not have our backs when we were down.

My question of the day : Do you think it's black men responsibility to protect black women on a collective basis? If yes, why? If no, why?

I feel like black people went through the most insidious smear campaign of all time. Life was created in Africa yet our lives have so little value to the rest of the world.

I personally rank it highly but the real question is what would be the benefit of learning about this would be. If learning about this could have a great enough impact to create a paradigm shift among the coming generation to really change the status quo of melanated people across the world on a whole then yes I think its important. Generally I think just having most simply being aware of our rich and lengthly history would be good enough for me.
