Self-love is more than facials, massages, and nice dinners. It’s more than eating well, working out, and splurging. Self-love, most importantly, is turning the search light on your own soul and cleaning the garbage out. It’s admitting where you have been toxic and where you have been breaking your own heart. It’s recognizing the trauma, acknowledging the pain, and processing it piece by piece. Self-Love is releasing bitterness and resentment as defense mechanisms and embracing your authentic self at every level of growth.

On the morning of New Year’s Day, I was asleep, but kept hearing the word recalibrate. It was so clear that I remembered the repetition of it after I was awake. I didn’t sit and ponder over it at the time, but later that day when I was reading my daily devotional, the writer also talked about recalibration. After sitting with it for a while, I realized that it was time for me to realign spiritually and make sure that my I am doing the internal work while I am doing the external work.
What do you do to realign and build yourself, spiritually?
Before you give up, think about how far youve come from where you started. Don't let life snatch your hope. Take your will and hope and body life!
He family!
Did anyone else feel the tremors from the Earthquake this morning?
Lift as you climb ???
You deserve love, pure love that does not hurt!
You deserve joy, joy without constant sorrow!
You deserve freedom, freedom without fighting!
YOU, yes YOU!
I will be posting a lot more fromthenapministry This page is phenomenal and it reminds us that our ancestors worked their asses off and we should make time to rest as a form of rebellion. This is not about being lazy, it is about taking time to check in with yourself & to connect with the divine so that new ideas, new dreams, & new guidance can fall fresh on you. Take care of yourself. I love you!
i love music. I used to be the type of person who knew every song that came on the radio. Now, I mostly listen to music on my ipod that came out from the mid 90s to the early 2000s. Whats the # 1 song on your play list?
Hey family!!! How is everyone?!
Black women have learned how to thrive so well, even with the trauma of intersectionality (racism & sexism), that some belive that it is our responsiblity to carry them into their growth.
I resent it, but unfortunately understand the difference in how we, as black women, move and why our "way" gives the impression that we can provide proverbial deliverance.
Even if we could (we cannot) it is not our responsibility.
One of my favorite mantras (of sorts) is "Those who are connected to me are blessed. You are blessed directly from God and through my overflow of energy and resources when I can. (today, I can) So....

#Repost fromthenapministry - The lack of collective care and safe spaces creates a culture of exhaustion and trauma. Rest supports our care and vulnerability. We will rest.
