What are some things you’re passionate about? Personally, I love reading and writing. I’m a professional writer & spoken word artist who didn’t find out until college that I’m dyslexic. Now I run a program designed to bring culturally relevant books directly to the hood by building library boxes and placing them in Buffalo’s most historically excluded communities. It’s a distribution stream for local authors (I buy books from Buffalo authors) and direct access for the community. ❤️📚 #BuffaloBooks

I stood outside of my grocery store while they brought the bodies of my elders and neighbors out in bags. That kind of attack sticks with you. I could cry thinking about what the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado is going deal with mentally and emotionally for a long time. It’s heartbreaking that these mass shootings keep happening. My heart is broken for them.

My heart breaks for the LGBTQ+ community and residents of Colorado. In May, a racist terrorist came into my community and massacred a grocery store just because it was in a Black neighborhood. We know first hand what an attack on your identity feels like. I’m so so sorry 😢💔
