October 1st marks the first day of Black History Month in the UK every year. During this month we celebrate insipirational black figures past and present, the contributions of black people to the uk and als thr history of black people in britain. Although this month is especially important for highlighting what we have accomplished throughout history its important to note we should be making conscious efforts to support/uplift our own all year round.
