Morning All! Question:
Can your friend(s) “check” you?
I’ve just had a convo with a mutual friend about this topic and she’s got her knickers in a twist! 😂
So I want to know, can your friend(s) check you?

Only people mentioned by MarianWatsx in this post can reply

Do we really have a friendship if we can’t be corrected. Correction is out of love. We should be able to love on you even when we don’t agree.

My friends tell me I’m tripping “in love”. We try not to judge but wrong is wrong and if one of us is out of line one of the others will verbalize it. I lean toward “Friend, I love and support you but 1/2

@MarianWatsx … this is dangerous/irresponsible/problematic or whatever applies. They do the same for me…I need less fluff, so they’re free to say “Bitch, this is dumb!” If need be. A good friend wouldn’t let you self destruct. 2/2

Absolutely. If I’m offended it’s obviously something I’m not willing to address or change.

Thank you! And tbh, there’s things they see that we may not be aware of - who better to get you together and put you back on track?

Yes! Please do especially since I would do the same

Sometimes people's parents can still check their grown adult lol 😆

They sure can because they can see my bs from a broad perspective, they know me well and I value their opinions

That was my point exactly! And being checked by your friend(s) doesn’t necessarily have negative connotations, if anything they should be able to do this freely from a loving and respective point. I understand it’s not the same for everyone.
