I joined a black owned credit union earlier this year and already on a waiting list to joining a blackowned neobank (Super excited for this as its a much needed and modern alternative to conventional banking). It's been a struggle to find a black owned bank that offers great modern services. We undertand the need to gravitate towards white-owned platforms that's trending, that's glamorized by celebrities and people in our communities.
If youre facilitating these multiple platfoms and not those established for us to be on-code, then you're doing a disservice to black-owned platforms that's constantly in the shadows.
You can facilitate white-owned platforms while pushing Black Empowerment on others that's made for unifying.

It's really disheartnening to see this. Black owned platforms receive all the excuses and white-owned are a trending topic of discussion. We need to get on-code and stop falling for the oldest trick in the book. You're right, someone did tell many of us about snapchat, fb, tik tok etc..and we ran to it.
That is a fact, when I direct people to our site the 1st thing I hear is "I NEVER HEARD OF THAT SITE" I remind them someone told them about FB, Instagram,TikTok and every other site they use..I remember BET, and BP even though they were not BLACKOwned it gave us a platform
