You know what fam, I been got off the retail crazy train and I don't celebrate any holidays but if you are going to buy someone a gift don't let your dollars matriculate outside our own communities. There are plenty of black owned businesses to support and yes I know that not everyone is honest or deal fairly when it comes to our people, but we have to learn to be self reliant or we continue the trends taught by the oppressors. STAY BLACK

Indeed..we bash our own when customer service or price isn't right..then we stop supporting. When. it comes to white-owned businesses, it's business as usual, regardless of past atrocities

COVID have created a set-back for me the reason I have not been around lately but it should be an excuse not to support a Black Owned platform.

We continue to give these other platformsmore airtime, every minute, every second of the day, even when Black people are targeted.

Don't wait till your back is literally against the wall to finally realize that you should have redirected that energy to our own!!!!

I fully agree with you Crime/enslavement stories seem to get the most funding in movies/series while in the news our trauma is displayed most during election years to sway voters. Thats why I think its so important that we create our own production companies to control the narrative. I would really like to see someone like spike lee recreate something like the spook who sat at the door for current times or jordan peele make something about mansa Musa. Also on the news front its why I focus more on sharing black owned businesses/organisations more than anything because money talks

Im tired of seeing black trauma anywhere whether its social media, on tv, in movies or in the news. I don't think anything positive comes from viewing such things. We get how bad things are for us and for those that dont they probably never will or care too....

There's many things that are transpiring in society right now and none of them are beneficial to Black people and community.

Our voices continues to go unheard andmany of us continue to accept these small handouts while the other sides are winning.

It's crazy to think where we will be in the next 5 years, as a community..STAGNANT or PROGRESSING!
