I haven't been entirely lazy this month. I pimped my workbooks to match the earrings I bought in Ghana. I think Garvey would be proud.

After learning about the Kente cloth, we were prepared for the Asante naming ceremony by Kofi, the subchief of the village.

Look at all that beautiful cloth behind us. Don't let anyone tell you that your ancestors were running naked in the jungle before slavery.

The black star of the Ghanaian national flag is a symbol for the emancipation of Africa and unity against colonialism. The black star was adopted from the flag of the Black Star Line, a shipping line incorporated by Marcus Garvey which operated from 1919 to 1922. It became also known as the Black Star of Africa. It is also where the Ghana national football team derive their nickname, the "Black Stars".

Just got back from Ghana a couple of days ago, and now I'm fighting a cold. More pics later. But I brought back some cool stuff to decorate for Kwanzaa. Come, the table is set. Let's celebrate ourselves!

Btw, the voice in the video is that of my manager.

Rocking our Blkem shirts at the Gullah Gehechee Festival with the Gullah Geechee Ring Shouters. Catch them in the Roots series reboot or season 1, episode 2 of High on the Hog on Netflix.

My coworker interrupts my lunch to vent about some youngin borrowing his lighter to light up a blunt in the smoker break area. Call security because I snitches.

It doesn't take me too long to catch up on the time-line, but that's not a good thing, is it? Pull up tonight at 8pm EST and discuss ways to change that. Let's create a blkem challenge with points and prizes.

Locked my self out of my mobile home today while making a quick trash run. Had on sweat pants and my 'jama shirt. No phone, no car, no keys, no bra. Since I had no plans to spend my day off outside with the feral cats, I had to freestyle my unhappy behind up to the office to get someone to open the door for me. Lesson learned.

The Creator was a surprisingly good movie. This little girl acted her behind off.

I never knew how important I was until a Karen at Aldis went out of her way to target me for her lame micro aggressions in three, distinct instances. It's gonna take more than blocking me, re-routing me, and ramming my basket with your basket to knock me of my throne. Don't know why I'm occupying rent-free space in your head, but I'm tickled that you're bothered by it. #QueensMakeitReign

This is an awesome concept! Please join me in helping my cousin to bring this product to market. You won't be charged unless he reaches his goal. https://www.kickstarter.co...

I love your vision for the community, Unc. Overall, good job on the Blkem blocks. I just wish I had something to talk about. I'm Pitch Blac now cause I needs to edit. @blkem

Just finished season 3. Very good acting and an attractive South African cast. I'm not used to white people playing support roles or black dramas minus the colorism. Definitely 5 stars.

The Black girl follow trend on Tik Tok. Bravo, ladies! The fallout has been quite entertaining to watch.

I'm gonna put this weather on I95N and send it back to ya'll to warm things up a bit. This is too cold for me.
